Issue

  • After setting the expiry date parameter for an automatically-generated snapshot or manually created, the snapshot policy's retention maximum is ignored and snapshots are not deleted as expected.
  • Issue can potentially lead to snapshot generation failing as the system runs out of available snapshots
  • With snapshots not being deleted appropriately, volume is at risk of running out of space
