Issue

  • When trying to delete a qtree, the system asks to use the -force parameter:

Cluster1::> qtree delete -vserver <vServer> -qtree <qtree> -volume <volume>
ERROR qtree.delete.failed: Failed to delete qtree "<qtree>" in volume "<volume>" on
Vserver "<vServer>". Error: "Qtree contains files. Use the "-force" parameter to permanently delete all of the files and the qtree"

  • But when deleting a qtree using -force parameter, the command does not work.

Cluster1::>set adv

Cluster1::*> qtree delete -vserver <vServer> -qtree <qtree> -volume <volume> -force

Warning: Deleting qtree
"<qtree>" in volume "<volume>" in Vserver "<vServer>" will delete all quota policy rules associated with the qtree. Do you
want to proceed? {y|n}: y

Warning: This will delete all files inside qtree "<qtree>" in volume "<volume>" in Vserver
"<vServer>" before removing the qtree. Do you want to proceed? {y|n}: y

     Description: Delete qtree <qtree> in volume
                  <volume> Vserver <vServer>
      Completion: Failed to delete qtree "<qtree>" in
                  volume "<volume>" on Vserver
                  "<vServer>". Reason: Qtree contains
              files. Set the "force" parameter to "true"
                  to permanently delete all of the files and
    the Qtree. The export policy "" has been
                  unassigned from the qtree and it now uses
                  the parent volume's export policy.
