Issue

  • The following messages are displayed in the event logs:

[node_name: mgwd: cpeer.xcm.addr.disc.warn:error]: Address discovery failed for peer cluster cluster_ID. Reason: Failed to discover remote addresses: RPC: Timed out.
[node_name: mgwd: cpeer.xcm.update.warn:error]: Periodic update of peer network information failed. The following operations are incomplete: discovery failure.
[node_name: mgwd: mgmtgwd.jobmgr.private.jobcomplete.failure:info]: Private job "Cross-Cluster Manager" [id 52] (Cross-Cluster Address Manager) completed unsuccessfully: discovery failure (1)

  • In MetroCluster configurations, if the cluster peer network is impacted, both clusters show that the remote cluster is unreachable:
