Unresponsive Service Processor - Error: show failed: RPC: Unable to send and bsdsocket.queueLimit.reached

Issue

  • When attempting to query the Service Processor (SP) via the terminal or OnCommand system manager, an RPC error is received:

::> system service-processor network show
    Error: show failed: RPC: Unable to send

::> service-processor show

  • EMS Logs raises:

    [Node: kernel: bsdsocket.queueLimit.reached:error]: Number of connection requests for the socket bound to port 935 having the IP address * has reached the limit of 1536 connections.
    The socket uses TCP protocol. This event has occurred 133 times since the last warning.

  • SP-MGMT-MLOG-TXT.GZ raises:

    [kern_servprocd:info:44610] 0x80f607400: 0: ERR: Servprocd::SpUpdate: GetSpVersion: Unable to determine  current SP firmware version : RPC: Unknown host
    [kern_servprocd:info:44610] 0x80f607400: 0: ERR: Servprocd::SpUpdate: GetNewSpFw: unable to obtain current SP firmware version.
    [kern_servprocd:info:44610] 0x80f605b00: 0: WARNING: librpcpool: Dispatcher not making forward progress 2011
