SVMDR update/resync failing with "Apply failed for Object: generate_cert Method. Reason: entry doesn't exist"

Issue

  • Attempting to change -identity-preserve value from 'false' to 'true' for SVMDR relation resulted in error.
Last Transfer Type: resync
Last Transfer Error: Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Apply failed for Object: generate_cert Method: baseline. Reason: duplicate entry.
Execute "snapmirror show -destination-vserver glpdrnfs -fields last-transfer-error,unhealthy-reason -expand" to check if the constituent volumes have encountered errors.
  • Or for the existng SVMDR relationship with -identity-preserve true update fails:

Last Transfer Type: update
Last Transfer Error: Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Apply failed for Object: generate_cert Method: baseline. Reason: duplicate entry.
Execute "snapmirror show -destination-vserver secure_destination -fields last-transfer-error,unhealthy-reason -expand" to check if the constituent volumes have encountered errors.
