Why does a browser show System Manager HTTPS Certificate as Not Secure when using a self-signed ONTAP certificate?

Answer

It is expected that the browser displays the following warnings for the HTTPS certificate until a Certificate of Authority (CA) signed certificate is installed within ONTAP.

  • Not Secure
  • Certificate is not valid
