Snapmirror takes a long time

Issue

  • A sudden increase in SnapMirror transfer time occurs.
  • One day it takes 5 minutes for normal SnapMirror updates but the next is five hours.
  • No contention on the network, loss, or throttling in ONTAP or replication throttling are seen.
  • The size of the update shows 0 bytes transferred in the SnapMirror logs (located in /etc/log/mlog/snapmirror.log via SPI):
