Which IP address does the SolidFire SNMP trap send from?

Answer

  • For any event on an individual node, the SNMP trap sends from the storage node's management IP address.

Example:

  • gcEvent  for each storage node

 

  • For any fault and cluster level event, the SNMP trap sends from the cluster primary node's management IP address.

Example:

  • nodeOffline / driveFailed / volumesDegraded  faults from cluster
  • API Call () event
