Description

The E2800 and E5700 storage arrays include embedded ASUP functionality, rather than relying on an externally installed Event Monitor (agent provided with SANtricity Storage Manager) to configure and monitor AutoSupport (as does the E2700, E5600, and EF560 storage arrays). Because of the differences in the E2800 and E5700 storage arrays, there are different management methods for configuring AutoSupport across the two kinds of arrays.

The procedure can also be found in our online documentation for the different platforms: E2600/E2700-E5500/E5600  and E2800-E5700.

This article contains a KB TV video that demonstrates the steps contained in this article to configure ASUP in legacy platforms using SANtricity Storage Manager.
