Can we change the node name when the node is part of a cluster?

Answer
Yes. Changing the node name of a storage node is possible when it is part of the cluster.
Follow the steps:
- Go to
https://<MIP>:442/
(node management IP) - Go to tab Cluster settings
- On Hostname type the desired new hostname
- Click on Apply Changes
- Go to the management virtual IP (MVIP) and confirm that hostname has been changed
Additional Information
- According to the test result, there is no business impact.
- The event
API Call(SetClusterConfig)
will be recorded on Cluster Web UI > Reporting > Event log for every node rename operation.
