CDEPLOY-5443: ONTAP Select Cluster deployed with small instance sizing instead of medium on VMware ESXi 9.x

Issue

  • Attempts to deploy an ONTAP Select cluster using medium instance sizing (8 vCPU / 64 GB RAM) results the deployed VM consistently as small instance sizing (4 vCPU / 16 GB RAM)
  • Deployment completes without any visible errors or warnings
  • ONTAP Deploy UI reports medium instance (8 vCPU / 64 GB RAM), but vCenter shows the VM with 4 vCPU / 16 GB RAM
  • Issue is observed on: ONTAP Select 9.17.1
  • Hypervisor: VMware ESXi 9.0.1.0-24957456
