  • Switchover performed

Issue

MetroCluster switchover might result in the node being unable to bring encrypted volumes online as the necessary aggregate encryption keys are lost. Onlining these volumes fails with the following error :

Cluster::*> vol online -vserver vserver1 -volume NVE_vol
vol online: Error onlining volume "vserver1:NVE_vol".
Unable to set volume attributes for volume "NVE_vol" on Vserver "vserver1".
Reason: The encrypted volume can't be onlined as either software encryption has been disabled, or there is an error in inserting an encryption-key into the crypto table.
