Unable to access CIFS when ns-switch configuration is deleted

Issue

  • When trying to access the CIFS shares via both IP address or hostname, the following issue is reported:

"The specified network name is no longer available."

  • The CIFS check output shows that the CIFS server is up and running.
  • Ping from the clients to the LIF is successful.
  • The ns-switch configuration for the affected vserver will show "no entries matching your query."
