Issue

  • ONTAP clusters with FlexCache origin volumes show aggregate space “Total Used” increasing rapidly while “Total Physical Used” remains comparatively low
  • Aggregate can reach full / near-full, triggering out-of-space behavior and potential data unavailability
  • Typically observed on systems with *>64 GB memory* running ONTAP 9.16.1 with long uptime after upgrade
