Auditing has been enabled on the primary cluster for an SVM.
Switching to the DR environment, auditing now functioning for the DR SVM.
Falling back to the primary DC, the logs for the DR files remained, indicating that the old logs were not being rotated or deleted.
When reverting back to the primary SVM rotating still works and the rotating still keeps the maximum number of files limit in place.
Testing has shown that manually deleting a number of files the
equivalent number of new files could be created and would be rotated.
The rotation mechanism doesn't do anything with the "audit_<datacenter one svm name>_svm_dr_D<year>..." files. They need to be manually deleted.
