ONTAP Upgrade Paused Due to Failed Data LIF Revert

Issue

  • ONTAP upgrade paused; failed to revert data LIFs due to temporary Vserver information unavailability on target node.
  • When attempting to revert those LIFs to its home node, the revert fails with Vserver is temporarily unavailable on that node.
“command failed on vserver ‘SVM1’ lif ‘lif1’: LIF ‘lif1’ on Vserver ‘SVM1’ cannot be migrated to node ‘node-01’ because information for that Vserver is temporarily unavailable on that node.”

  • Manually bringing the port down and up on Node01 did not resolve the issue.
