CONTAP-609785: After performing ONTAP upgrade the NSM100 B module on NS224 shelf doesn't get updated

Issue

  • After performing ONTAP upgrade only the firmware of the NSM100 module B on NS224 shelves is not auto-updated to the ONTAP bundled version. 

  • SYSCONFIG-A shows NSM100 module B fails to update to target version.

Shelf 0: NS224NSM100 Firmware rev. NSM100 A: 0402 NSM100 B: 0240

  • Although NSM100 A module reports newer version but EMS reports downloading error for NSM100 A module:

  • Manual firmware upgrade doesn't resolve the issue.

  • ONTAP reports NSM A module in unknown state.

  • The shelf firmwarew upgrade for NSM100 module B never starts.
    *ONTAP clustershell command reports quiet period as 240s.
