Issue

After performing an ONTAP ANDU upgrade (from version 9.13.1P7 to 9.14.1P12), the firmware of the NSM100 module B on NS224 shelve did not update from 0240 to 0402. 

  • sysconfig -a shows NSM100 module B fails to update to target version.
    Shelf 0: NS224NSM100 Firmware rev. NSM100 A: 0402 NSM100 B: 0240

  • EMS log shows downloading error:
    [Node1: dsa_sfu: sfu.downloadError:error]: [storage download shelf]: Error downloading firmware file NSM100.0305.SFW on 0x.shelf10.shelf partner module unavailable
    [Node1: dsa_sfu: sfu.downloadError:error]: [storage download shelf]: Error downloading firmware file NSM100.0305.SFW on 0x.shelf0.shelf partner module unavailable
    [Node1: dsa_sfu: sfu.downloadError:error]: [storage download shelf]: Error downloading firmware file NSM100.0402.SFW on 0x.shelf10.shelf partner module unavailable
