The GA designation is given to the RC to indicate that earlier releases performed extraordinarily well across multiple deployments. Based on rigorous testing by NetApp’s quality assurance organization and on the experience gained from hundreds of customer deployed storage systems that ran the RC extensively in various configurations, the release demonstrated sufficient maturation.
