Answer

The HA Partner capable of storage failover is the SFO Partner.

  • ONTAP Cluster consists of multiple 2-node HA pairs.
  • Aggregates can be moved within each two-node HA pair and will be moved to HA Partner in case of failure.
    • Storage failover is the function to move aggregates to an HA Partner in the event of a failure. 
    • The node that can be the target of storage failover is the SFO Partner of that node.
    • If the 4 nodes Cluster is configured with 2 HA Pairs, A and B, C and D, then the SFO Partner of A is B.
