Issue

  • Volume rebalance command fails with the error below

command failed: Failed to start volume capacity rebalancing for volume in Vserver Reason: Starting capacity rebalancing on a volume that is the source of a SnapMirror relationship requires the cluster hosting the destination volume to have an effective cluster version of 9.12.1 or later.

  • The volumes source and destination cluster's are both running 9.12.1 or later
  • The volumes source SVM is peered to another cluster running 9.11.1, but does not have any snapmirror relationships
