SSH to SVM fails with connection closed on new nodes added to a cluster

Issue

  • New nodes are added to the cluster or a root migration procedure has been implemented
  • After moving SVM management LIFs to newly installed nodes, SSH fails with the following message:

[root@centos-01 ~]# ssh -vvv SVM_IP\SVM_Name

OpenSSH_4.3p2, OpenSSL 0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 01 Jul 2008

......

debug1: loaded 3 keys

debug1: ssh_exchange_identification: /etc/ssh/sshd_config: No such file or directory

ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
