Issue

  • Unable to access vFiler from a specific host
[vfiler1@node01:rshd.access.denied:warning]: Permission denied for an rsh request from user1 at host host123 IP address 10.10.10.10 Reason: Reverse lookup of rsh client failed.
  • Hostname reported is incorrect / doesn’t exist on the DNS
# nslookup host123
Server: 10.10.10.20
Address: 10.10.10.20#53

** server can't find host123: NXDOMAIN
  • IP address of the remote host reported in the error is the same as the vFiler IP:
vfiler1
ipspace: default-ipspace
IP address: 10.10.10.10 [vifnode01]
