  • ONTAP 9
  • Upgrading via BlueXP, or System Manager
  • NVE or NAE in use by the installation

Issue

  • Attempting to upgrade ONTAP results in a failure during the validation process
  • The "NAE Aggregate and NVE Volume Encryption Check" encounters an error, which is fatal to the upgrade process
