  • This article describes the procedure that should be followed to troubleshoot the following error:

SMB2 Session Setup Error No Trusted Logon Servers Available - STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS

  • The storage system is unable to authenticate with its Active Directory Domain and errors similar to the following are reported in the /etc/messages log:

Wed May  1 08:40:47 PDT [filer1: cifs.server.errorMsg:error]: CIFS: Error for server \DC1 SMB2 Session Setup Error No Trusted Logon Servers Available - STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS.
Wed May  1 08:40:47 PDT [filer1: cifs.server.infoMsg:info]: CIFS: Warning for server \DC1 Connection terminated
