Description

  • This article describes the procedure that should be followed to enable remote access to a node’s root volume in a cluster.
  • ONTAP 9 does not export the node’s root volume using the SMB or NFS protocols.
  • HTTPS access to a node's root volume is available if the node is online normally or if it has been taken over by its HA partner.
  • The HTTPS access to a node's root volume is controlled by using the same authenticating username and password that is used for SSH or System Manager access, to administer the cluster.
