  • ONTAP 9
  • Cloud Volumes ONTAP
  • Data ONTAP 8
  • Inode capacity (maxfiles)

Description

Default and maximum user visible files (inode counts) for both FlexVol and FlexGroup volumes are automatically calculated based on the total allocated capacity of the volume. For example, a 100 GB FlexVol volume will have a smaller default and maximum files, or available inodes compared to an 8 TB FlexVol volume
