Answer

  • The timezone data in ONTAP is updated from the source data published by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA)
  • ONTAP 9.13.1 and later supports automatic update of time zone information using the Automated Firmware Update feature, if enabled
  • However, the timezone data is not created or modified by NetApp
  • To see what changes are made in new timezone package releases, its recommended to reference the IANA Time Zone Database website
  • The latest version available for ONTAP can be found at  Timezone Information for ONTAP
