  • No special steps are needed to sanitize a disk when NVE is enabled
  • Disks can be sanitized using standard methods

Additional Information

  • NetApp Volume encryption is software-based encryption and does not encrypt data at the disk level
  • If FIPS disks or self-encrypting disks are being used, refer to: Sanitize a FIPS drive or SED
