Deletion of snapshots previously referenced by FlexClone volume fails after ONTAP upgrade

Issue

  • Deletion of snapshot that was previously in use by FlexClone fails with the below error even after deleting the FlexClone volume:
[kern_audit:info:3561] 850XX100000XXXXXX :: Cluster-01:ontapi :: 10.XX.XX.XX:59640 :: Cluster1-01:dbrefresh :: snapshot-delete :: Error: Snapshot copy "vol_data" of volume "vol_1" in Vserver "SVM1" has not expired or is locked. Use the "snapshot show -fields owners, expiry-time, snaplock-expiry-time" command to view the expiry and lock status of the Snapshot copy.
  • If there is any scheduled script that deletes the FlexClone and the snapshot for refreshing the clone, then such operations will fail.
