CONTAP-77207: LIF migration is blocked when there are TLS connections where the handshake is stuck

Issue

  • When using encrypted S3 connections the TLS handshake between the client and ONTAP may get stuck.
  • This will block the migration of any LIF being used by such connections.
  • For example, a LIF migration attempted by ANDU would result in the following error message:
    [ANDU paused Error: Failed to migrate data LIFs from node "NODE"]
  • Use the following command to confirm that there are S3 connections on the LIF in question:
    [network connections active show -service s3 -lif-name {LIF}]
  • If there are no S3 connections on {LIF}, then the LIF migration failure is not due to this issue.
