Issue

  • Manual download of BIOS image 18.16 failed following "Signature timestamp verification failed" error while ONTAP version already in CONTAP-577008 fixed version:


Cluster::*> system node firmware download -node * -package
Signature timestamp verification failed.
Error: command failed on node "node01": Download failed. Reason: Signature timestamp verification failed.

  • mgwd log reports tsr fail error:

[kern_mgwd:info:4506] 0x837595c00: 0: WARNING: libsslmgnt::crypto::evp::ArchiveVerifier: [verifyTimestamps]:616: Could not verify timestamp for /mroot/firmware/00000002/etc/18.16.zip.sig with /mroot/firmware/00000002/etc/18.16.zip.sig.tsr using TSA /etc/ssl/tsa_entrust.pem and CA /etc/ssl/tsa-chain_entrust.pem
