CONTAP-652969: 502 Proxy Errors Cause API Failures and Prevent Access to ONTAP System Manager

Issue

  • API calls to the ONTAP cluster intermittently failed with HTTP 502 Proxy Errors, impacting both programmatic access and the ONTAP System Manager UI.
  • During the issue, repeated proxy and API failures are observed when attempting to access cluster services. As a result, System Manager could not be opened, and API-based operations failed consistently.
  • The failures were logged in Audit logs, as shown below:
