Issue

  • With the Onboard Key Manager configured on a system running ONTAP 9.8 or later, it is possible that while booting up, the system might fail to import the onboard key hierarchy.
  • In this case, the following message will be displayed on the console:

ERROR: Import of the onboard key hierarchy failed: failed to import key hierarchy.
