Issue

  • External Key Manager (EKM) in use.
  • Switchover or switchover simulation fails for encryption issues:

::> metrocluster operation show
Operation: switchover-simulate
State: failed
Start Time: <date & time>
End Time: <date & time>
Errors: Failed to validate the node and cluster components before the switchover operation.
Cluster_Name (fatal): Processing Subsystem (SO Check KMIP configuration is in sync between local and remote cluster) encountered an unknown error.

  • All nodes have the proper key server available in
    security key-manager external show-status
