Issue

During an ONTAP upgrade, the console may display ERROR: /var cannot be downgraded. even though the operation is an upgrade. The message can appear when the destination release is not listed in the compatibility information checked during shutdown. The upgrade can still complete successfully; this message does not indicate that the upgrade failed.
