On Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP and Cloud Volumes ONTAP on AWS, repeated virtual server LIF refresh attempts can generate excessive requests to update external route tables. If AWS throttles these requests, route updates may fail with a Request limit exceeded error, and affected LIFs may become unavailable.
