CONTAP-48685: ONTAP external cache shows "enabled" for nodes with no Flash Cache installed

Issue

  • On AFF, ASA or FAS storage systems, the ONTAP external cache might show "enabled" on a node, even though Flash Cache modules are not installed.
  • The status can be seen with the "system node external-cache show" command.
  • Flash Cache modules are only installed in FAS systems.
