Issue

  • Node goes down and partner reports "Communication Error":
CLTFLT: HAGroupNotification from Cluster1-1 (CONTROLLER TAKEOVER COMPLETE AUTOMATIC-Communication Error)
  • BMC system event log shows power loss:
[IPMI.notice]: 03a3 | 02 | EVT: ef03ffff | PCM_Status | Deassertion Event, "Power Good"
[IPMI.notice]: 03a4 | 02 | EVT: ef04ffff | IO1_Status | Deassertion Event, "Power Good"
[IPMI.notice]: 03a5 | 02 | EVT: ef04ffff | IO6_Status | Deassertion Event, "Power Good"
  • BMC /var/messages log (AutoSupport: SP-LATEST-SYSLOG) reports the power as off and turns it back on automatically.
BMC env_mgr[1831]: Set OS_Booted to NO
BMC env_mgr[1831]: PCM Power is OFF
BMC env_mgr[1831]: Re-trigger the plat_env_init
BMC env_mgr[1831]: PCM Power is ON
  • No other power alerts for the cluster or PSUs.
