Issue

  • Network port information in sysconfig -a shows 100Mb/s speed

sysconfig -a

slot 0: Gigabit Ethernet Controller 82580
        e0a MAC Address:    00:a0:98:8f:01:8c (auto-100tx-fd-up)
        e0b MAC Address:    00:a0:98:8f:01:8d (auto-1000t-fd-up)
        e0M MAC Address:    00:a0:98:8f:01:8e (auto-1000t-fd-up)
        e0P MAC Address:    00:a0:98:8f:01:8f (auto-1000t-fd-up)

  • Expected speed is 1000Mb/s
  • Attempts to manually modify network speed does not adjust the value
  • Performance issues (latency) might be observed due to reduced transmission speed
