Issue

  • A specific shelf reports a non-critical overtemperature alert in EMS log coming from sensor 1. Example:
[node_name: dsa_worker1: ses.status.temperatureWarning:alert]: DS460-12 (S/N xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) shelf 3 on channel 0a temperature warning for Temperature sensor 1: non-critical status; overtemperature warning. Current temperature: 41 C (105 F). This module is on the front of the shelf on the left, on the OPS panel.
  • The alert does not appear on all of the shelves connected.
  • Other shelves report temperature values close to the thresholds:
::> storage shelf show -shelf <stack>.<shelf_ID> -cooling
  • The alert goes to normal state after a few minutes:
[node_name: dsa_worker5: ses.status.temperatureInfo:info]: DS460-12 (S/Nxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) shelf 3 on channel 1b temperature information for Temperature sensor 1: normal status.
