Issue

  • One of the cluster backend switches not reachable
  • The command system health alert show reports the problem
  • Alert ID: SwitchUnreachable_Alert
    Resource: starsfas14-mc2(FLM262600R0)
    Severity: Major
    Indication Time: Tue Apr 01 11:06:36 2025
    Suppress: false
    Acknowledge: false
    Probable Cause: The Ethernet switch's IP address is not reachable from
    the local node.
    Possible Effect: Monitoring of the switch and log collection will not
    function.
    Corrective Actions: Ensure that the IP address is reachable or specify the
    correct reachable IP address.
    Also tried to reach the switch directly @10.89.216.171 without success.

  • Pings between node and switch fail
  • The cluster switch is not connected to a management network
