SP upgrade failure on AFF-A800 when using Ansible automation

Issue

  • Service Processor (SP) upgrade from version 10.10P1 to 10.11 failed when triggered via Ansible playbook/API on one of the node in the cluster
  • Whereas, manual upgrade using CLI command succeeded
  • SP-MGMT logs show errors during Ansible/API upgrade:
sp_get_sensor_info_worker:TTXERROR:1(open() timed out)
sp_get_sensor_info_worker:TTXERROR:1(socket open() error: Connection refused)
system_power_status_worker:TTXERROR:1(socket open() error: Connection refused)
Servprocd::BmcManager:perform_sync:Failed to get generic info from SP management interface
Servprocd::CLI:sp_get_sensor_info_worker:TTXERROR:7(SSL_connect: Connection reset by peer (SSL_error_code))
  • Even though SP firmware package available in the local repository auto-update was not triggered
