SAS adapter communication issue resulted in disk failure and disk missing

Issue

  • The storage system was restarted due to a power failure in the server room.
  • Afterwards, one disk has failed and two disks were missing from the sysconfig -a output.
  • Resetting continues for SAS port 0a and two missed disks.
EMS:
Resetting SAS adapter 0a.
Resetting Unknown device 0a.02.6 from adapter 0a.
Resetting Unknown device 0b.02.14 from adapter 0a.
  • Phy state shows Disabled.
