Issue

  • The following SCSI transport errors are for one node in EMS:

[node-01:scsi_cmdblk_strthr_admin:scsi.cmd.transportErrorEMSOnly:error]:
Enclosure services device 0b.00.99: Transport error during execution of command:
HA status 0x9: cdb 0xa4.
[node-01:scsi_cmdblk_strthr_admin:scsi.cmd.transportError:error]:
Enclosure services device 0b.00.99: Transport error during execution of command:
HA status 0x9: cdb 0xa4.
[node-01:scsi_cmdblk_strthr_admin:scsi.cmd.noMorePaths:error]: Enclosure
services device 0b.00.99: No more paths to device: cdb 0xa4. All retries have
failed.

  • 0b.00.99 device is the shelf module connected to the 0b adapter
  • From SAS-EXPANDER-PHY-STATE in autosupport we can confirm that the this is an embedded module on the motherboard in the B slot

Expanders on channel 0b:
Level 1: WWN 500a09800e3005bf, ID 0, Serial Number ' SHFGB2025000241', Product 'DS22412IOM12E ', Rev '0250', Slot B
