ONTAP upgrade results in splog.warnings messages every other day

Issue

  • After upgrading ONTAP from version 9.13.1P7 to 9.14.1P12, EMS log appears splog.warnings message every other day:

Thu Nov 27 05:30:00 +0900 [node-01: splog_main: splog_warnings_1:error]: params: {'sp_type': 'SP', 'reason': 'splogd is running in degraded mode and having difficulty getting splogs from the SP FW'}

Fri Nov 28 05:30:00 +0900 [node-01: splog_main: splog_warnings_1:error]: params: {'sp_type': 'SP', 'reason': 'splogd is running in degraded mode and having difficulty getting splogs from the SP FW'}

Sat Nov 29 05:30:00 +0900 [node-01: splog_main: splog_warnings_1:error]: params: {'sp_type': 'SP', 'reason': 'splogd is running in degraded mode and having difficulty getting splogs from the SP FW'}

  • The sysconfig -a output indicates that the SP status is online and the IP address is correctly displayed:
