New NS224 shelf using NSM100B missing in ONTAP

Issue

  • New NS224 shelf is added and disks are seen, but shelf is not seen.
  • Shelf does not display in Sysconfig -a, but disks are visible:

  • storage shelf show does not display the new shelf.
  • EMS at the time of the shelf add shows the shelf is recognized:

[Node-02: rshd_0: shelf.config.tompha:info]: System has transitioned to multi-path HA attached storage
[Node-02: dsa_poll: ses.status.shelfCount.info:notice]: The new shelf count is 2, the old shelf count was 1.

  • EMS shortly after starts printing unsupported shelf messages:

[Node-02: dsa_disc: ses.shelf.unsupportAllowErr:alert]: Unsupported disk shelf found on channel 0x.
