Netboot fail from ONTAP tgz image in ONTAP 9

Issue

  • Downloading ONTAP image never starts when attempting to netboot from .tgz image.

LOADER-A*> netboot http://xx.xxx.xxx.xx/98P6_q_image.tgz
Downloading xx.xxx.xxx.xx/98P6_q_image.tgz ...............................................

  • Ping to HTTP server results show success.

LOADER-A*> ping xx.xxx.xxx.xx
xx.xxx.xxx.xx (xx.xxx.xxx.xx) is alive
xx.xxx.xxx.xx (xx.xxx.xxx.xx): 1 packets sent, 1 received

  • Trying to power cycle the system from BMC, but the situation remains the same.
  • Changing the HTTP server or IP segment cannot resolve the issue.
