Applies to

  • AFF-C800
  • ONTAP 9.11.1P17
  • X1149A 10GBASE-T NIC
  • Cisco Nexus 3172T Switch

Issue

  • LACP ifgrp member port(X1149A) link up takes long time to link up, or link speed shown as 1G rather than 10G at SYSCONFIG -A as following.

Example:

slot 2: 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller IX4-T
e2a MAC Address: 50:7c:6f:5d:57:e0 (auto-1000t-fd-up)

  • Auto negotiation sets at both ONTAP and switch side, and the issue doesn't resolve.
  •  Manually set the speed / duplex values the same at both ONTAP and switch side, but the issue doesn't resolve.
  • Loopback test performed at X1149A after removing the port from the LACP Ifgrp port, and the result shows port link up in time and show speed as 10G as expected.
