Description

  • This KB article helps you determine the correct part to order when replacing a power supply unit (PSU) in AFF A900, ASA A900, AFF A700, FAS9500 or FAS9000 systems
  • Current 1600-Watt (W) PSUs of NetApp AFF A900, ASA A900, AFF A700, FAS9500 and FAS9000 storage systems are certified at 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency
  • Effective 2024-01-01, Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/424 requires power supplies for certain classes of storage equipment to meet the 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency requirement
  • NetApp 80 PLUS Titanium 2000W PSUs for these models are now available, identified by a blue LED icon label.

IMPORTANT: Intermixing PSUs with different power ratings and efficiencies in the same chassis is not supported. When replacing a PSU, the correct part must be used or damage to the system might occur.
