Hourly fan failure alerts in Active IQ, but not in system manager

Issue

  • One node send "monitor.fan.failed" alert messages every hour. Example:

Tue Mar 30 19:00:00 0200 [node_name: statd: monitor.fan.failed:alert]: Multiple fans has failed.
Tue Mar 30 20:00:00 0200 [node_name: statd: monitor.fan.failed:alert]: Multiple fans has failed.
Tue Mar 30 21:00:00 0200 [node_name: statd: monitor.fan.failed:alert]: Multiple fans has failed.
Tue Mar 30 22:00:00 0200 [node_name: statd: monitor.fan.failed:alert]: Multiple fans has failed.
Tue Mar 30 23:00:00 0200 [node_name: statd: monitor.fan.failed:alert]: Multiple fans has failed.
CHOTSD:HA Group Notification from AFFA400-01 (CHASSIS OVER TEMPERATURE SHUTDOWN) EMERGENCY

  • System alert:

System Alerts
   PSU1 FRU has multiple faults. The nodes in this chassis are node_name_2, node_name_1.
   PSU2 FRU has multiple faults. The nodes in this chassis are node_name_2, node_name_1.

This message occurs when one or more main unit fans have failed. The system remains operational. If the condition persists too long, an automatic shutdown for overtemperature might occur.
